Our next Beginner Series begins Monday, April 24th and runs 5 consecutive weeks. Mondays 5:30 - 6:30pm with the last class being Monday, May 22nd. To sign up - “book now” through the calendar (which directs you to MINDBODY) and purchase the Beginner Series yoga pass - $120 for 6 classes.
A fundamental attribute of studentship is to “begin again”. This Beginner Series is a wonderful place to begin or begin again. This class is specifically designed for beginners but is also appropriate for those who are working through a physical injury or have taken a hiatus from yoga or routine and are looking to get back into practice.
Start from the beginning, set a strong foundation and learn principles of alignment and skillful modifications to improve your strength, flexibility and balance while experiencing the stress-relieving benefits of yoga. Learn fundamental poses, principles of alignment and yoga breathing techniques. Build a strong foundation in yoga, and cultivate strength, flexibility and stamina in your body while you fall in love with yoga.

Introduction to Tai Chi | Yang 24

Yang 24, named for the number of movements, was created in 1956 as a short exercise for students to learn, which is easier than the longer traditional Yang style Tai-Chi forms with 88 to 108 postures. Shortly after its beginning, Yang 24 became extremely popular and avidly promoted by the People's Republic of China for general exercise because of its relative simplicity and health-promoting effects. It takes approximately 6 minutes to do from start to finish and is currently said to have the most practitioners of Tai-Chi style forms in the world! It is convenient, incredible for health and a pure pleasure to perform. Doug has 45 years of experience practicing and pursuing different types of martial arts. We are thrilled that he is sharing his passion and expertise with us in this Introduction to Tai Chi Series!
